Personal information collected

For the present policy, personal information means, any information that can be used to personally identify you, such as your name, age, telephone number, email address, residential, mailing or other physical address, financial information such as credit card or debit card information, or other information required in order to provide the Services including, but not limited to, the address of your property(ies), the name of your tenant(s), information regarding the rental of your property(ies), your IP address, your geolocation information, or any other personal information that allows us to provide you with the services described in the following paragraph (collectively, “Personal Information”).

Information use

Bloc solutions may collect and use your Personal Information for the following purposes:

  • To provide our landlord-tenant relationship management Services, which includes, among other things, signing an electronic lease form;
  • To personalize and enhance your experience on our Website;
  • To present advertisements, content and features that match your profile and interests;
  • Collect statistics to improve our Services and perform user data analysis;
  • Offer products and services that are attractive to you;
  • To process transactions and operations of our WebSite;
  • To put you in contact with other users for the rental of your properties and to respond to inquiries;
  • Inform you of updates to our Website and other relevant real estate information;
  • Perform any other action necessary to protect the security or to ensure the proper functioning of the Website;
  • Inform you of new services to come and send you communications that you have agreed to receive;

Bloc solutions is an online platform dedicated to property management and landlord-tenant relationship management. The Services allow property managers and building owners (“Managers”) to manage their rental properties. Bloc solutions provides a platform that facilitates, simplifies and improves communication between Managers and tenants. The Website provides a platform for Managers, their employees and tenants to communicate directly with each other through the Website and the mobile application. Users can receive email notifications, notifications and/or SMS messages. Bloc solutions requires that Managers establish different authorization levels to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to required information. Information provided by tenants will only be shared, as required, with Managers and those who are explicitly authorized to have access.

Management and deletion of your Personal Information

We will not share your Personal Information with third parties without your permission, except in the following circumstances:

  • When we need to send the information to a third party or person retained by Bloc solutions to perform certain functions on our behalf (such as payment processors, investigative processors or security system providers). Bloc solutions undertakes to take all necessary and reasonable measures, contractually or otherwise, to ensure that such third parties comply with this Policy and any applicable laws and regulations;
  • If we need to disclose information to any entity in connection with a sale, merger or change of control of Bloc solutions (or 9256-2958 Quebec Inc.), in whole or in part, if the parties reach an agreement under which the collection, use and disclosure of the information are limited to the purposes of the business transaction; and
  • If required or necessary to do so by law or court order, in connection with legal proceedings or other legal process served on Block solutions, to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, to enforce the terms and conditions of our licenses, or in an emergency, to protect personal safety, the public or our Website.

We may use service providers to verify the bank account information you provide to us when we provide our services to you.

Bloc solutions will securely retain your information for a reasonable period of time in order to provide you with effective services or until your account is deleted, whichever comes first. In no case will this retention go beyond the legal obligations to that effect. Deleting your account will result in the deletion of any information collected and freely provided by you. BEWARE, deleting your account means that you will not be able to retrieve that information in the future. Public information that others may share is beyond our control and will not be deleted by Bloc solutions.
